Our Bilingual Mandarin Immersion Program is specially designed to nurture children from 18 months to 6 years old to develop and cultivate a love and interest in the chinese language. Our program begins with a focus on developing 4 important components in language learning.

Speaking

Through inviting children to participate in interactive games, conversation experiences with peers, rhymes, songs, poems, drama and role-play, children develop their confidence in speaking, discussing and expressing themselves in Mandarin in school and at home.

Listening

Our teachers inculcate a love in chinese for listening to Chinese through dramatisation of stories and literature in mandarin and idioms together. This will help to expand children’s imaginations, build vocabulary and increase their understanding of the language.

Reading

During our daily shared book reading experiences, teachers invite children to learn to recognise and read Chinese characters, and interact with language in the contexts of a story. This will also further enhance and develop their ability to answer questions for literacy development through vocabulary and comprehension

Writing

Children learn to write Chinese characters, mastering the sequence of strokes. They then move on to constructing sentences, creating stories and developing their ability to express themselves in written form. In the later stages, they are invited to do sentence construction and creative writing. Active engagement in literacy learning also promotes free expression. and creative thinking abilities.
