“Lily Valley Preschool ticked all the boxes to be our first choice of preschool for our child.”

The school environment gives warm and comforting vibes, which provides my toddler room to explore freely while learning through discovery and play. In addition, the school facilities are carefully designed to be child-friendly.

“… In each play station, there is a question to get the child to explore their interests.”

[A] spacious and conducive environment. I love their Reggio Emilia Approach – you can see the effort the school puts to nurture curiosity in the students. For example, in each play station, there is a question to get the child to explore their interests. They have some pretty cool lighting effects too.

“Through the process of discovery and active participation, [our children] learn how to become problem solvers and creative thinkers. ”

The curriculum is based on the Reggio Emilia approach. It focuses on our children’s interests during their inquiry-based project time in class. Through the process of discovery and active participation, they learn how to become problem solvers and creative thinkers. Most importantly, they develop curiosity and an innate love for lifelong learning.

[... Our children] both enjoy the afternoon speciality programmes offered such as multi-sports, robotics and coding, creative music and movement, and visual art. There are also specially designed ateliers such as the light and 3D immersive atelier, and a makerspace. The classrooms allow lots of natural light and nature in, which was an important factor for our choice of preschool in Singapore for Julian and Michelle.

We enjoy participating in the community events and parenting workshops organised by the preschool. There’s also a parent coworking space, which allows us to work while being able to be near Julian and Michelle as they attend school. This lets us balance work and daily life as parents, which builds stronger bonds as a family.

“The Reggio Emilia approach is the most holistic way of teaching my kid [and helping him] grow.”

My son joined Lily Valley Preschool recently. But those were the most defining, wonderful months that shaped his whole personality.

The Reggio Amilia approach is the most holistic way of teaching my kid [and helping him] grow. The teachers are amazing! A brand new premium school in the area, a perfect place to work and watch my kid learn.

Discover the learning activities in our special ateliers

Light and the phenomena of light are doors leading to discovery and knowledge of the world. Our ray of light atelier is a place of research and experimentation for children. Here, light is investigated in its different forms through exploration, evoking wonder and curiosity. The science behind light and its concepts allows children to construct and form hypotheses and theories, stimulating creativity and building deeper knowledge in our young learners. It helps children create visual imagination, representations and creativity through the use of technology, tools and sustainable material.
In this atelier, children are invited to use digital tools and technology, such as computers, video-projectors, webcams, digital microscopes, graphic tablets and software. The goal? To create digital art and unique compositions. Through hands-on learning, we introduce the children to skill sets like creativity, innovation, and more. They both deepen and demonstrate their learning through investigation, inquiry, and experimentation. In this space, children can discover the intersections of optics and art, between marks and the 3-dimensional, between real and immaterial constructions, logic and imagination, sound and dance, and more.
This is a room where children can experiment and use their imagination for learning. They’re offered various materials to use for visual representation, giving them the opportunity to express themselves in many different art forms. This interaction or dialogue with materials such as paint, clay and wire offers children additional languages through which they can communicate their thoughts or feelings. Children can also collaborate with community artists and educators in the school to discuss the artwork produced in the atelier, possibly even creating long-term art projects as vehicles for learning.
Our Kitchen Food Atelier is not just a place for food preparation but also one where children learn about chemistry and history. Here, little ones explore the origins of food and the techniques and science of food preparation as they interact with our school chef through stories and workshops. This helps children understand healthy living as well as the idea of sustainable farming and food production. We also introduce them to the cultural aspect of food through opportunities to cook together with the rest of the school community.
This is where children are invited to take part in seasonal gardening projects with their peers, educators and families. Gardening can heighten children’s senses as they feel the dirt, flowers, fruit, leaves and seeds. They see the vibrant colours and sizes of plants, hear the sound of leaves rustling, and smell the flowers, fruits and herbs around them. They also develop a sense of responsibility by growing their own food for healthy eating and development. Wellness and gardening workshops are here with the collaboration of community biologists, scientists, and gardeners.
