Meet our Principal

It is with great joy and gratitude that I join Lily Valley Preschool as we begin a meaningful new chapter together. I am deeply passionate about building a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment—where children are free to explore, create, and grow, and where families and educators work in partnership to support each child’s development.

With over 20 years of experience in early childhood education—including 16 years of studying, understanding, and working with the Reggio Emilia approach—I have been deeply immersed in creating thoughtful, purposeful learning environments that inspire exploration, discovery, and reflection. Through this journey, I’ve come to appreciate the profound sense of curiosity that lives within every child—their natural desire to question, investigate, and make meaning of the world around them.

our_team2The Reggio Emilia philosophy has greatly influenced my belief in the environment as the “third teacher”—a space that not only supports learning but actively provokes thinking, collaboration, and creativity. It has also strengthened my commitment to inquiry-led, child-centered learning, where children are seen as capable protagonists in their own educational journeys. This approach not only nurtures children’s curiosity in the present but also equips them with the mindset and skills for lifelong learning in an ever-evolving world.

Due to the unprofessional care in the first preschool for my only daughter, I started Educa Pte Ltd where I led the award winning centre from its early beginnings to full enrolment. In recognition of my leadership and contributions to the sector, I was honoured to receive the Exemplary Early Childhood Employer award from MCYS in 2011. Additionally, I was invited as a workshop speaker for the Awards for Excellence in Early Childhood in both 2012 and 2013, where I shared insights and practices with fellow educators. I’ve also contributed to public conversations on parenting and education through appearances on national radio and television in Singapore.

As I step into this new role, I look forward to working closely with our children, families, and educators in Lily Valley to co-create a joyful, enriching preschool experience—one where every child feels safe, respected, and inspired to learn.
